Explore the Area

Family Fun in the Heart of Eagles Nest
Papa Bear Lodge is the ultimate home base for families seeking memorable mountain adventures. Kids and adults alike can explore the community's playgrounds, take on the mini-golf course at Great Camp, or join the ropes course and climbing tower (open seasonally). Enjoy morning hikes on the scenic Woodland Trail System and gather in the evenings for s'mores and stories around your private stone firepit. On rainy days, the home's arcade and foosball table ensure that the fun continues indoors.
Please note: A few amenities, such as the ropes course and summer concerts, are available seasonally. An amenity fee applies for access to community features, and there may be construction sounds during daytime hours.

Outdoor Adventure & Nature Escapes
For those who crave the great outdoors, Papa Bear Lodge places you steps away from mountain biking, hiking, and ATV trails (rentals required) weaving through Eagles Nest. After an active day, soak in the sunset views from your covered porch or unwind at the North Pavilion's ball field and sports courts. Adventure amenities like the climbing tower and hiking trails are primarily open spring through fall; in winter months, be prepared for mountain conditions (AWD/4WD and possibly chains are required). While construction is present in the area, the lodge's tranquil setting among the trees helps preserve your connection to nature.

Gatherings & Social Retreats in Style
Groups of friends and adult retreats will find the perfect blend of privacy, entertainment, and access to select Eagles Nest amenities at Papa Bear Lodge. Host a game night with the in-home arcade and foosball, or relax around the firepit under the stars. Venture to the North Pavilion for summer concerts, festive Fourth of July celebrations, or to the Eagles Nest Winery for tastings (16+ only). Large communal spaces, both indoors and outdoors, make this mountain escape ideal for reconnecting and celebrating. Some amenities and events are seasonal, and guests should be aware of the amenity fee and limited access to certain member-only facilities.

Luxury Mountain Living & Select Experiences
Discerning travelers will appreciate the high-end comfort and designer touches at Papa Bear Lodge, from the fully equipped kitchen to modern bathrooms and seasonal mountain views. Enjoy access to select Eagles Nest amenities such as the vineyard, BBQ pavilion, and amphitheater, or simply relax in the serene privacy of your lodge. The property offers a comfortable setting for enjoying wine tastings at the Eagles Nest Winery, home-cooked meals, and relaxing mornings close to nature.
